Capacity to remove heat
The more heat the room receives from sunlight, cooking, and occupants, the more capacity it needs. A higher BTU/h figure is not automatically a better choice.
WATTS
Electrical input
Electrical input is listed on the energy label or manufacturer specification. Combine it with running time and the tariff to estimate a cost.
RANGE
A margin against false precision
ClimJuste widens the calculated value by ten percent on each side and rounds to 500 BTU/h. This range cannot correct for unseen building details.
DECISION
Feasibility before capacity
If the hose requires a partly open window, the site withholds the capacity recommendation: fixing the exhaust is more valuable than buying a larger unit.
When not to use this result
Do not use this estimate to size a fixed system, as a regulatory heat-load calculation, a comfort promise, or a consumption comparison. Large open spaces, very high ceilings, conservatories, heavily exposed glazing, and major internal heat gains fall outside its simple scope.
